The Defense and Veterans Brain Injury Center (DVBIC) is a part of the U.S. Military Health System. Treatment Center Information

TBI Model Systems consist of 16 TBI treatment centers nationwide, and is funded through the National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research. The TBI Model Systems are linked to medical centers that provide high-quality care from the onset of head injury through the healing and rehabilitation process.

Disability Assistance

The National Disability Rights Network is a nationwide network of congressionally-mandated disability rights agencies offers a wide range of services to individuals with disabilities, including TBI victims. Of particular interest to TBI survivors are the Protection and Advocacy (P&A) and Client Assistance Program (CAP) networks. P&A agencies provide information and referral services to help to people with disabilities in solving problems relating to education, healthcare, discrimination and employment, transportation, personal decision-making, and Social Security disability benefits.
